Last week while grocery shopping I chanced upon Habanero sauce. I had read and heard a lot about Habanero chilies before and had seen them used in various recipes.Habanero chilies are among the top ten hottest chilies in the world.I got curious about it and an instant thought of making pan grilled chicken struck my mind.In no time the bottle of the Habanero sauce found place in my shopping cart.
I even found the bottle and the artistic label on it very interesting and attractive.After coming back from the shopping and arranging my grocery in place I started preparing for the dinner.The menu for the dinner got automatically changed from Indian style curry chicken to pan grilled honey and Habanero chicken.
Normally while making grilled chicken I prefer using chicken breast or leg and thigh combined.But this day it was different as I had to use curry cut for the grilled dish since that was only available to me as per prior plan.So I just went ahead and prepared the dish that turned out amazing with very little efforts and ingredients.The dish was mildly sweet but hot.Since neither I or anybody else in my family like too sweet I added the honey as per our taste with the heat and the sweetness in perfect balance.Let us move to the recipe to check out I made it.

Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 kg curry curry cut chicken
- 1 tbsp minced garlic/paste
- 1 tbsp habanero sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- Juice of one lemon
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil /butter
Method:
- Wash and pat dry chicken pieces with kitchen towel.
- Add all the ingredients mentioned in the list of ingredients into it and mix well.Let the chicken marinate for at least an hour.The longer the better.
- Heat the grilling pan and drizzle some oil.Arrange the pieces of chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each sides.
- Put off the flame and serve hot along with the accompaniments of your choice like salads,breads or rice and ENJOY…………………………
Tips & Tweaks:
- The quantity of honey can be adjusted according to the taste.
- If you have access to fresh Habanero chilies then you can prepare the marinade by using fresh paste of chilies along with vinegar instead of using sauce.
