Nargesi kebab is nothing but boiled eggs wrapped in mutton mince usually a kebab mixture and deep fried.It is named after Narcissus flower because before serving they are cut into two halves, each resembling like the petal of the flower.It is a popular Ramadan recipe.This is quiet a filling dish with a beautiful appeal and meat lovers delight.It can be served as an appetizer or as a side dish too.So now without making you wait let us quickly jump to the recipe of this gorgeous looking dish.
Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 hard boiled eggs
- 250 gm mutton kebab mixture( for the recipe of mutton kebab please check out the following link Mutton Kebabs(Easy Goat Meat Kebabs)
- Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Wrap each boiled egg in an even layer of the kebab mixture.
- Deep fry them in medium hot oil.Once evenly brown ,drain them on an absorbent paper.
- Let them rest for few minutes till they are firm and easy to hold.
- With a sharp knife cut them lengthwise into equal halves.
- Serve them hot along with mint chutney.
Tips and Tweaks:
- This does not require any additional binding as the kebab mixture that I have used already contains egg which act as a binder.So the mixture will not disintegrate while frying.
