The dish that I have brought on this forum today is a very popular street food from Delhi Popularly known as Kulcha Matar (Yeasted flat bread paired with curried yellow peas). It can be had any time of the year and one can spot small small vendors standing under a shady tree at every nook and corner of the city selling famous Kulcha Matar. It is a very simple dish to make and can be relished any time of the day.It can serve as a very good snack item as well as can form the proper meal too depending on the hour of the day it is had.The spicy taste of the curried lentils is very beautifully balanced by the slightly sweetish taste of the kulcha along with some onion salad.Below follows the recipe of the same.

Kulcha(Indian yeasted flat bread)

For the ingredients of the dough and the recipe please refer to my previous blog on “my middle Eastern plate”. It is almost same as that of pita bread except that I have topped them with green coriander and nigella seeds (kalongi )

SO SAVOUR THE FAMOUS KULCHA AND MATAR TILL I COME BACK WITH A NEW TASTE SENSATION.
